14-year old victim of extra-judicial killing in Pakistan; 3 more abductions

BalochJohd reports: The 14-year-old cousin of slain Brahui/Balochi singer Faqeer Mohammad Ajiz was recovered in Mastung District on Sunday, April 1, 2012. The body was badly decomposed, having been abandoned an estimated 2 months earlier. Family members were informed on April 2 and tried to approach government officials, police and levies to recover the body, but all refused to take action. Police and levies also refused to lodge a FIR. The family recovered the body on their own. The youth's body was bullet-riddled and showed signs of torture and was recovered from the Amaach Mountains. The family says Riaz Ahmad had been abducted by Pakistani security agencies on January 25, 2012.

BalochJohd and DailyTawar report: 28-year-old Dilmurad, son of Lal Marri, and 42-year-old Murad Ali, son of Sona Marri, were abducted by Pakistani security forces from Windar town of district Lasbela, while traveling from Karachi towards Jaho on a passenger van.

Family members of the victims said in a press release that Dilmurad Marri and Murad Ali were running a scrap business in the Jaho area of Awaran district for the last several years. They said on Friday Dilmurad and Murad had loaded scrap onto a hired Mazda truck with the intention to sell it in a scrap market in Karachi. On the following day, when returning to Jaho by passenger van, three Pakistani security vehicles forced the van to stop when it reached Winder town and dragged Dilmurad and Murad Ali from the van, taking them to an unknown location. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Family members said that the two have owned a scrap shop in the Jaho area of Awaran district for the last few years. They are non-political persons and not affiliated with any groups. The family appeals with this press release to the Balochistan High Court, the Supreme Court and all human rights groups to please act immediately for the safe recovery of their abducted relatives. If immediate action is not taken, they fear the fate of their sons will be no different than that of other Baloch missing persons.

The third abduction occurred Saturday evening, March 31, when Mehrab Baloch, a member of the Baloch Student Organization (BSO-Azad), was reported abducted in Sibi by armed Pakistani security agency personnel.
